Service Description: <div style='text-align:left;'><p style='margin:0px;'><font size='5'>OWB Rivers</font></p><p style='font-size:12pt;'></p><p style='font-size:12pt; font-weight:bold; margin:0px;'><span><span>Summary</span></span></p><p style='font-size:12pt; margin:0px;'><span><span>This layer represents candidate Outstanding Waterbodies which have been identified across the Otago Region’s rivers.  The purpose of this data is to inform engagement.</span></span></p><p style='font-size:12pt; margin:0px;'><span><span><br /></span></span></p><p style='font-size:12pt;'></p><p style='font-size:12pt; font-weight:bold; margin:0px;'><span><span>Description </span></span></p><p style='font-size:12pt; margin:0px;'><span><span>This layer represents the linear identification of candidate Outstanding Waterbodies (OWBs) in the context of the Otago Region. This represents the technical findings of Boffa Miskell, E3 Scientific, Water Ways Consulting and Rob Greenaway and Associates informed by matters as set out in revised APP1 assessment criteria of the Decisions Version of the Proposed Regional Policy Statement (RRPS) and as directed by the National Policy Statement on Freshwater Management (NPSFM, 2020). Rivers identified in this layer are based on nzREC2 _V4 database (NIWA). Each river has been divided into separate Rohe for the purpose of assigning individual labels. This represents the technical findings of Boffa Miskell, E3 Scientific, Water Ways Consulting and Rob Greenaway and Associates through assessments informed by matters as set out in revised APP1 assessment criteria of the Decisions Version of the Proposed Otago Regional Policy Statement (RRPS) and as directed by the National Policy Statement on Freshwater Management (NPSFM, 2020). Outstanding waterbodies identified in this layer represent lakes, inlets, riverbeds or wetlands which may also extend into the coastal environment directed by matters as identified under the New Zealand Coastal Policy Statement (NZCPS, 2010). Lakes are sourced from LINZ Topo 50 data set (where area &gt; 1ha). Wetlands and estuaries are sourced from Regionally Significant Wetlands and Estuaries sourced from ORC dataset. Inlets and riverbeds have been manually corrected based on the LINZ Topo 50 data set to align with topographic maps. This layer was produced in August 2024.</span></p></div>
